Berger joins Victory

Melbourne Victory today announced the signing of exciting youngster Evan Berger on a two-year deal from NSW Premier League side Marconi Stallions. The 19-year-old midfielder joins Leigh Broxham and Mitchell Langerak as the Hyundai A-League Champions’ required three Under 20 signings.

No details as yet on what he is like but Ernie Merrick describes him as: “. . .quick and skillful and I firmly believe he has a very bright future."

Berger has represented Australia at international level as a member of the unsuccessful Young Socceroos team that failed to qualify for the U20 World Cup. Sounds like a good prospect.

To be updated as more news comes to hand.
